Bill is the President and Managing Partner of Related California, where he manages a diverse portfolio of mixed-use and multi-family developments. Related California and its parent, Related Companies, have been a leader in creating innovative, mixed-income development projects across California, the Midwest, Boston, and New York, including the Hudson Yards, the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States, and the largest development in New York City since Rockefeller Center. In addition to his management of one of the largest firms in the country, Bill has more than forty years of experience in the public sector, spanning his tenure as San Francisco Deputy Mayor for Housing and Neighborhoods, to San Francisco Director of Housing and Economic Development, to Commissioner of the San Francisco Housing Authority. Prior to his service in San Francisco, Bill was the Legislative Director for the National Association of Housing and Community Redevelopment Officials, and worked with the Philadelphia Office of Housing and Community Redevelopment. He is an active board member in several community organizations, including the Shelter Partnership (Los Angeles), the Foundation for the Great Park (Orange County), and the Community Partner Advisory Board of the Orange County Human Relations Commission.
