Michael Covarrubias

Michael is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TMG Partners, a San Francisco based development company that has created 23 million square feet of mixed-use space in twenty cities. TMG Partners will soon break ground on the First and Mission Towers, a transformative mixed-use project in San Francisco's Transbay Area, which will include the tallest residential structure on the West Coast.  Michael has directed TMG Partners since 1995, and, prior to joining TMG in 1988, he served as Senior Vice President and Manager of Union Bank's Silicon Valley Regional Real Estate Center, where he oversaw both commercial and real estate lending. Michael is a Co-Chair of the Bay Area Council Housing & Sustainable Development Committee, an Executive Committee member for the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics at UC Berkeley, and the Director of the Executive Committee of The Committee on Jobs. He is also an active member in several philanthropic organizations, including the American Red Cross, City of Hope, and United Way of the Bay Area.
