CCLR Welcomes New Board and Advisory Council Members
The Center for Creative Land Recycling, the nation’s leading nonprofit dedicated to the beneficial reuse of underutilized and contaminated properties, announced the appointment of five new members to its Board of Directors and five new Advisory Council members. These accomplished individuals bring a wealth of experience in environmental policy, community development, and business leadership, to support CCLR’s advocacy for brownfield reuse.
Brownfields are unique opportunities to address a host of issues communities face, including: removing pollution to improve public health, providing space for affordable housing or parks to improve quality of life, improving the built environment to increase resiliency, or attracting new businesses and jobs to invigorate local economies. The expertise of the nonprofit’s board will ensure the organization can raise awareness for, and increase support of, the important work of beneficial land recycling on the federal, state and local level.

Each new director came to us because of personal experiences that made them appreciate the critical role CCLR plays in many communities” said David Harnish, Board Chair. “Individually and collectively, these new directors will help us support more communities.”
