The Center for Creative Land Recycling in collaboration with San Diego State University Center for Regional Sustainability is excited to announce the Southern California Land Reuse and Community Development Funding Fair, taking place on February 29th, 2024, at the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center in San Diego.

Are you passionate about revitalizing communities and making a positive impact? This fair is the perfect opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations dedicated to land reuse and community development. Discover innovative projects, network with industry experts, and explore funding opportunities.

At the fair, you’ll hear firsthand from communities who have managed to layer and stack different sources of funding to support their brownfield redevelopment projects and get an opportunity to speak one-on-one with federal, state, and local funding entities. Learn about the latest trends, best practices, new funding opportunities, and financing strategies in land reuse and community development.

Whether you’re a community leader, municipality, developer, investor, or simply interested in learning more about this important field, this event is open to all.

  • Learn about new and upcoming funding sources, how to access them, and when to apply.
  • Connect with agencies one-on-one to discuss your specific projects and the funding opportunities that are most appropriate for your unique circumstances.
  • Strategize ways to layer funding and maintain project momentum.

Representatives from entities including the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), California State Water Resources Control Board, California Department of Housing and Community Development, SDSU’s Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center (TCTAC), and more will be available to discuss the full gamut of funding opportunities for land reuse in California.

It’s rare that you get all these entities in one room so don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity and resource! Register today!
