CCLR Services Spotlight: Procurement Assistance
Procurement can often be a time-intensive part of grant management, or when you are looking to hire a contractor for services. If not done correctly, grantees can be out of compliance and risk losing their funding. However, with proper procurement, your projects can move forward with the knowledge that you and your contractors are following regulations and being good stewards of tax-payer dollars.
You don’t have to manage the procurement process alone. As the TAB provider to Regions 9 & 10, CCLR can assist with navigating the procurement process, including:
- Understanding the federal, state and internal procurement regulations to remain compliant with not only the regulations but also with your Cooperative Agreement
- Understanding the five methods of contracting and requirements
- Assisting with developing Request for Proposals and Request for Qualifications including evaluation criteria and processes of selecting contractors or consultants.
In August, Joelle Greenland, AICP led a two-part educational webinar series “Proactive Procurement: How to Ask for & Get What You Need” in partnership with our fellow TAB provider West Virginia University. With the FY24 EPA Brownfield grant application period now underway, the training will ensure you understand the reasons for, and how to comply with, procurement protocols.
