Mary M. Lydon
Biography
Mary M. Lydon has 30 years of experience in land use planning, real estate markets, community and stakeholder participation, housing policy and economic development strategies.
She has worked with private-sector developers, public-sector agencies, and nonprofit organizations. She is a former City of San Diego Planning Commissioner and Football Stadium Advisory Group member. She has held key leadership roles within the Housing You Matters Coalition, the Urban Land Institute, the Downtown San Diego Partnership and many nonprofit boards over the course of her career. Mary completed an Executive Leadership Program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She has authored numerous opinion pieces for publications in the San Diego region. She has been a speaker at southern California universities and national and international conferences including the Aspen Institute’s Creative Arts World Summit in Muscat Oman.
