Kristina Kelchner
Biography
Kristina leads the Port of Portland’s engineering, environmental, safety, and planning & development teams, helping deliver projects that support equitable and sustainable economic growth for the region. As a member of the Port’s executive team, Kristina oversees capital development at PDX International Airport, as well as several marine terminals and industrial parks, including current efforts to develop a sustainable mass timber and housing manufacturing campus at the former marine terminal site.
Before joining the Port, Kristina was Assistant General Manager of Acquisition, Stewardship, and Development at the East Bay Regional Park District in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she oversaw development and environmental stewardship of 73 regional parks serving over 25 million visitors a year. Kristina was instrumental in the acquisition, cleanup, and redevelopment of former military and industrial lands for reuse as nature parks.
A graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law, Kristina practiced in San Francisco law firms from 1997 – 2014, representing developers, manufacturers, and public agencies in real estate, land use environmental permitting, and development.
