Biography
Tamara Cardona-Marek is an environmental scientist with over 20 years of combined experience in academia, federal, and state environmental agencies. She has led the regulatory oversight of the cleanup of contaminated sites in WA and AK. Most recently she worked for the WA State Department of Ecology on the development of the Affordable Housing Cleanup Grant Program, a program focused on funding brownfields cleanups for reuse as affordable housing. Tamara holds a BS in Environmental Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico and doctorate in Environmental Sciences from Rutgers University.
